To ensure the quality and reliability of software releases, the full-time remote Software Quality Assurance Engineer will manage hands-on testing and QA processes across web applications, APIs, and connected workflows, while also contributing to business analysis to clarify requirements before development. Key responsibilities Design and execute various tests including functional, regression, exploratory, API, and end-to-end tests, while documenting defects and maintaining automated regression suites Maintain test plans, test-case libraries, and QA metrics, as well as participate in sprint planning and provide QA go/no-go recommendations based on release criteria Review specifications and user stories, write or refine acceptance criteria, and map business flows to identify gaps or ambiguous logic prior to development Required qualifications 3+ years in software QA for web applications and APIs Experience with manual test design, regression, exploratory, and edge-case testing Proficiency in API testing with tools like Postman and working knowledge of SQL Test automation experience with frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium Strong skills in defect reporting, test documentation, and acceptance-criteria writing
