Overview

The Special Conservator of the Peace Armed Recruit is a Security Officer role designated for newly hired SCOP Armed Officers while preparing for successful transition to an Armed SCOP role . During the transition period of 120 days all training and certifications will be completed to allow them to carry a weapon . The primary function of this transitional role is to further develop the necessary skills training and certifications to function as a fully armed SCOP Officer.

Certification/Licensure

• State DMV Motor Vehicle Record and current Valid Drivers license (Required)

Experience

• 1 year of security military or police experience (Preferred)

An offer of employment for a Special Conservator of the Peace Armed Recruit is contingent on passing the pre-employment screening process which includes a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Once the preemployment process is cleared and employment has begun incumbents will have 120 days to successfully complete and obtain other job specific certifications as defined in the job profile. Failure to obtain these certifications within the prescribed timeframe will result in termination of employment. Annual fitness assessment and psychological evaluations are every 3 years as a condition of continued employment in this position.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.86 - $29.15 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials on-call pay overtime shift premiums extra-shift incentives or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications experience location market conditions and business needs.
