Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct crisis assessments and implement interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support and effective care.

• Develop and execute personalized treatment plans in conjunction with clients, focusing on their unique circumstances and needs.

• Provide follow-up care and ongoing support to clients, including recommendations for additional mental health resources and services.

• Utilize crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to manage high-stress scenarios effectively.

• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to refine your crisis counseling skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse clientele at our community health clinic, which includes individuals coping with a variety of mental health challenges. You will provide individual and group therapy sessions, addressing not only common disorders but also specialized interventions for elderly clients facing aging-related mental health issues. Through evidence-based practices, you will help empower clients to navigate their emotional struggles and enhance their coping mechanisms.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
