Brand Ambassador Indianapolis, IN | Part-Time | $17/hour + event tips Upland Brewing Co. has been crafting bold, honest beer in Bloomington, Indiana since 1998 - from year-round favorites like Wheat and Dragonfly IPA to the barrel-aged sours that put us on the map nationally. As we grow our presence across Indianapolis, we're looking for an outgoing, reliable Brand Ambassador to run consumer tastings - primarily in liquor stores and on-premise at bars and restaurants - throughout the city.
This is a part-time, on-the-ground role for someone who loves craft beer, enjoys talking to strangers, and takes pride in representing a brand well. Most weeks you'll be pouring samples at liquor store tastings and on-premise events, so a big part of the job is simply being great in front of consumers, sample after sample.
What You'll Do - Run liquor store tastings - set up your table, pour samples, and talk shoppers through the Upland lineup as they shop.
- Run on-premise tastings and pint nights at bars and restaurants, engaging guests and staff on-site.
- Represent Upland Brewing Co. at festivals and additional account visits throughout the Indianapolis market as needed.
- Pour and sample beer responsibly, answer questions, and educate consumers on our lineup and story.
- Set up and break down branded tables, tents, banners, and point-of-sale materials at every tasting and event.
- Track event details - attendance, product feedback, sales notes - and report back to the Indianapolis market manager.
- Capture photos and short video for Upland's social channels while at events.
- Transport, load, and unload event gear and product samples (kegs, cases, tables, signage) using your own reliable vehicle.
What We're Looking For - 21 years of age or older, with a valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel to events and accounts.
- Available evenings and weekends - this is when most liquor store tastings, on-premise events, and festivals happen.
- A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine comfort striking up conversations with strangers.
- Prior experience in sales, hospitality, bartending, or brand promotions preferred, but not required - we'll train the right person.
- Working knowledge of (or eagerness to learn) craft beer styles, brewing basics, and the Upland portfolio.
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and standing for extended periods at events.
- Must be able to obtain an Indiana alcohol server/seller certification (e.g., TIPS or ATC) upon hire if not already certified.
